Its official, we have survived empty nest syndrome.

Chuck has taken up golf and Phyllis has taken up yoga.

We spend as much time as possible (and permissible) with
our children, Chris, Pam, Laura, Eddie and Laura and our
wonderful grandchildren, Dylan and Penelope.

Lion is still holding down the fort at 219 Central.
He very much enjoys his visits to Jada and Winnie in Fairfield.

Spring 2008

Welcome to our empty nest!

Alex and Lion are ruling the roost for now, but 2 grandbabies are coming, so they better enjoy it while it lasts.

December, 2006

On Sunday December 17th the Strands went to Aquavit for a Sunday Brunch. We dined on several different kinds of herring, salmon, beet salad and of course, Swedish Meatballs. There was also a lot of Aquavit consumed. They ran out of one the flavors we were drinking.

Laura has been elected the president of the Alpha Delta Pi soriority. Laura is going to be amazing in her new position. She has started her nursing clinicals courses at Wagner College and is doing great. She always has the best attitude and her bright smile (see picture) If you want to drop her a line of congratulations, her email is Laura.

November 20, 2005

The Swedes 5 website has been sorry in need of an update so here it is. We will be adding a picture gallery on the website which will features photos from Pamela and Ed's wedding, Chris and Laura's new dog CeCe. Soon to come will be shots of Laura at Wagner College. We will be going there this weekend to spend time at the ADPi sorority schloarship brunch, mother/daughter pinning ceremony and dinner with the sisters. I hope you enjoy all the pictures!

Spring 2005

The Strands are busy in New York, working, going to school and planning another wedding.

Pamela is marrying Ed Urquhart on October 1 at the Larchmont Yacht Club. We are expecting about 150 guests for the event. Happily, Pamela will be a college grad also. She is graduating from Fordham University, Bronx NY with a degree in Art History. She will start a career in art buying at an ad agency in NYC in June.

Chris and Laura are still enjoying their honeymoon year! Except for the days they have to go to work. Laura is moving up the corporate ladder and trying to break the record for book reading! Chris has become quite the chef and grill master. We are glad that the spring days are finally here, so we can spend the weekends sampling his latest recipes.

Laura is a proud member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She is completing her freshman year at Wagner College, Staten Island, NY. She made the Dean's list her first semester. This summer she is looking forward to her job as a lifeguard at the beach in Rye, NY.

Chuck and I continue to amaze people that we have children married, engaged and in college. We have to work a little harder to look younger, but it's worth it!
